Elisabetta Gregoraci was born in Sastriano, province of Catanzaro on 8 February 1980. In the early days of her career, the now famous Italian showgirl participated in various beauty contests including Miss Italia and enjoyed a brief career as a model, also modelling for Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana. Her television career began with short appearance in films and soap operas (Il cielo in una stanza by Carlo Vanzina, C’era un cinese in coma by Carlo Verdone, Un medico in famiglia).

The Calabrian showgirl, who began to make a name for herself in the golden world of television, was the sidekick for many of the most famous TV hosts both in the state-run RAI and in Mediaset, including Destinazione Sanremo in 2002, Il malloppo in 2006. In 2005, she also set out on her own career hosting the transmission Sipario on Tg4. From 2006 to 2008 she became one of the hosts of Buona Domenica and with Sara Varone she hosted the “gossip” section in the Buona Domenica variety show, then in 2009 she hosted Celebrity under the surgeon’s knife. In 2008, the beautiful Calabrian married millionaire Flavio Briatore, thirty years older. She told the weekly magazine Chi in September that she and her entrepreneur husband were expecting a child.
